WCIAA thought it best to move our conference dates to next year so that we as humans can navigate Covid 19 and figure out how to live and be safe.
Our mission is to share and educate and this means not only what we can do with iron but that we are makers and even in a time of a pandemic, artists bring innovation and creativity to the world while coping with what is happening around them.
WCIAA 2020 Situational Invitational
To celebrate studio practice during this time of distancing, and to mark the original conference dates, the WCIAA board members have invited 60 artists to participate in the WCIAA 2020 Situational Invitational.
This will be a virtual exhibition as we embrace the need to share artwork in new and unforeseen ways.
This exhibition will be hosted on the wciaa.org website and linked to various social media sites. As sculptors working in this time of uncertainty, we wish to support artists and their creative practice by giving visibility and voice to their art.
We look forward to sharing what iron artists are doing and how they have continued making in uncertain times.
